Engagement Party Invites

We did an invite for the engagement party of a friend of a friend. CT & Charles are a Southern couple living in the city, so our invite drew on the NYC theme. I'm very happy with the way the invites turned out. The paint color is actually a much deeper blue/green than the photo shows.

Wedding Preparations, Day 2

Driftwood is abundant down at the waterfront and we have put it to good use around the wedding site. Ken and Shannon built the arbor and Anna and I put together the seating tag hangers.

We met with the photographer and pastor and the tent was put up this afternoon. Lights were strung together and prepped for hanging underneath the tent on Saturday.

Tomorrow a lot of our friends and family members will be coming in from out of town and we'll be spending a night out in downtown Seattle.

Wedding Preparations, Day 1

After spending all evening on the flight out from NYC, we were greeted by a beautiful sunny and warm Seattle day. Anna's parents have been making tons of improvements at the property, like the beginnings of the arbor and planting flowers all over the place. We met with the florist and we'll be posting photos of everything as it comes along. So long for now.

Wedding bands!

We placed the order for our wedding bands yesterday. I love them - simple and beautiful! The diamond in my band is slightly off-center, so it sits asymmetrically from my engagement ring. The only downside is that it is a little thicker than I wanted, but that's okay. Sean got the matching men's ring, and put a tiny diamond on the inside of the band, because he is baller like that - his secret diamond.

Anyone looking for engagement rings or wedding bands, we definitely recommend looking at Niwaka. They are a great company and true artists! The packaging that the rings come in is awesome, too. Make sure you leave yourself enough time - the rings take six weeks to make, so we will be getting ours just in the nick of time.
