This is both heartbreaking and amazing. William Utermohlen was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 1995. From the year of diagnosis, until his death in 2007, William painted self portraits as a means of understanding his disease. It’s so interesting to see how his portraits changed as his disease progressed.

Richard Diebenkorn is one of my favorite artists and his Ocean Park series captures so much of what I love about the depth of art and architecture. This print of Ocean Park 116 is a pretty good deal that comes framed up at MOMA.

New print release! Chinese New Year was a few weeks back, and it is the Year of the Dragon, considered to be the luckiest year in the Chinese Zodiac. We thought it would be fun to celebrate by releasing this print by Will Scobie – Midnight’s Dragon.

I chose a dragon for this piece, because visually dragons are really inspiring to draw, being made up of lots of interesting shapes and lines. In my work, I am always aiming for graphic simplicity that incorporates different ideas, but I also try to keep a fun feeling by adding unusual details.
