Milk Design – Animal Ring Holder

These little ceramic ring holders by Milk Design are pretty sweet – they would add a nice touch of whimsy to any dresser.

Brevity – Custom Signature Necklaces

I’m happy to share a brand new custom line through Brevity: the Signature necklace – a custom necklace that is as personal as it gets.

Your signature is unique – it is a symbol of your identity and is the mark that you use to represent yourself to the world. It is one of the most personal things about a person – the distillation of a one-of-a-kind personality into a mark that was developed over the course of a life. Whether you choose to wear your own John Hancock or honor a loved one by wearing theirs, our Signature necklace is as personal as it gets.

The Signature necklace is available in stainless steel (on sterling silver chain) for $195, in silver dipped (on sterling silver chain) for $225, and in gold dipped (on gold-filled chain) for $295. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

To celebrate the launch, we’re giving away a Signature necklace! Find out the details here and enter to win on our Facebook page.

Poketo X The Working Proof

We are so very excited to announce the launch of a collaboration with one of our favorite shops - Poketo! We partnered up with Poketo to create a series of City Wallets by four Working Proof artists: Emily DumasDan FunderburghJames Gulliver Hancock, and Linda Kim. Bearing the iconic images of each city as seen through the eyes of each artist, the wallets are defined by bright prints and colors that capture the spirit and fun of exploration.

Each wallet is made of durable vinyl (double layer for extra strength). Contains 3 slots for credit cards, a bill slot, and a change purse. The wallet is 8.5″ x 3.75″ open, but folds perfectly to fit in your pocket (4.25″ x 3.75″). The wallet ships flat but once you fold it, stays folded. All wallets come with a matching pin and bio card of the artist.

The Working Proof will donate 10% of each wallet sold to 826 National. We love what they do as an organization to encourage creativity and to make writing and learning fun for kids. Poketo will be donating 10% of proceeds from the City wallet sales to their local 826 chapter, 826LA from March 11th through June 1st.

Los Angeles, by James Gulliver Hancock.

James Gulliver Hancock is obsessed with cities and drawing. That combination has seen him attempt to draw all the buildings in New York, all the rain in London, and all the cars in Los Angeles. He lived in Los Angeles and learned its circulation of concrete veins – 101 to the 110 to the 10 right?

The KeySquare

A nice and simple key ring – the KeySquare.

The slots are designed to hold securely to a belt loop, but still able to detach easily. I have never had one come off without intentionally detaching it.

No moving parts to wear out. You’ll always have a bottle opener at the ready. Small enough to fit comfortably inside a pocket. Made from durable stainless steel. Holds securely on a belt loop with enough reach to pocket your keys.

Brevity Jewelry – fundraiser for the Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

As you no doubt already know, earlier this week the east coast was hit by the massive storm system known as Hurricane Sandy. My family was lucky to have weathered the storm mostly uneventfully – we never lost power or water, and our neighborhood in Brooklyn escaped relatively unscathed. This wasn’t the case for many parts of New York City and the surrounding areas, including our old neighborhood of the East Village, which is still without power. We count ourselves as doubly lucky because I delivered my son on October 21st, but was due October 27th, right before Hurricane Sandy hit New York. I have been especially impacted by the stories of the hospitals that had to be evacuated, and can’t imagine the stress of trying to get to a hospital during the hurricane or having to be evacuated from a hospital while giving birth.

We’d like to do what we can to help our great city get back on its feet, and so will be donating 50% of the sale price of all New York and Brooklyn necklaces sold between now and 6pm EST, November 7th, and 20% of the sale price of all other City Necklaces sold through November 7th to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Cities currently featured are New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle.

Thank you for helping us to support our city!

Anna

Bodyguard – Rosa Hirn

The Bodyguard collection by Rosa Hirn is a little more bling than I would normally wear myself, but I love the geometric shapes and the mixture of raw stones and metal. There are some lovely pieces!

Gur Kimel – Nature Preserve jewelry

Gur Kimel creates beautiful jewelry from natural shapes, materials and textures, taking found souvenirs and dipping portions to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

Exploring and collecting exceptional pieces in the Jerusalem hills, urban Tel-Aviv, European forests and Scandinavian villages, I find that nature tells a different story in each location, and this story changes again from season to season. No two pieces are the same, and consequently each piece of jewellery is splendidly unique.

Dottinghill

Since Tattly launched in July 2011, designer tattoos are everywhere. Dottinghill is one of the nicer ones I’ve come across recently, with crowdsourced designs that are pretty lovely! So, if you’ve got a tattoo design in mind, submit it to Dottinghill and if you’re lucky, it will end up on your arm!

Moldarina – Talking About People

These pieces of jewelry by Moldarina are so beautiful! They are from the new collection, Talking About People, and all of the pieces are handmade with cotton fabrics, linen, and hand-painted wood beads.

Forest & Branch Necklaces by EVRT Studio

I’m digging these sweet Branch & Forest necklaces by EVRT Studio.

The concept for the Branch & Forest necklaces was created during a walk through the park in the fall of 2011. The beauty of the Midwest is at its peak in both the fall and spring. The landscape begins to transform from the green hues of summer and brown hues of winter to the bold, vibrant pops of color that emerge in both spring and fall. This is the idea that we wanted to capture with the Forest and the Branch necklaces.
