Beep Show – SF to Paris in Two Minutes

SF to Paris in Two Minutes from Beep Show on Vimeo.

This is a fun time lapse video that was shot by a passenger on a trip from San Francisco to Paris. The photos were shot roughly every two miles between take-off in San Francisco and landing in Paris CDG, and includes some beautiful footage of the Aurora Borealis.

Redbull – My Inner Secrets – KERS and Rear Wing

Another cool Redbull animation about the new F1 technologies that make racing a little bit more like a video game.

Sucker Punch

From the director of 300 and The Watchmen, Zack Snyder’s new Sucker Punch opens in a few weeks. Looks like a fun movie to watch.

Une Vie de Chat

The trailer for Une Vie de Chat looks like a fun film to watch. I can more or less guess what it is about, but I’ll have to wait for a subtitled version. But the animation is done by hand and is amazing!

Azorian : The Raising of The K-129

We just started watching Azorian: The Raising of The K-129 on Netflix instant. I had read about the CIA’s project before, but this documentary is bananas! It’s like Hunt for Red October but for real – stealing a Russian ballistic missle sub without the Russians knowing about it. I love the 3d models and animations of how the Glomar Explorer and Capture Vehicle. If you don’t know anything about the story, go watch the film!

Dead Island Trailer

Whoah. Dead Island trailer is a mix of JJ Abrams and zombies. Can’t wait to see what the actual game is like, hopefully more than just axing zombies to bits.

Complexity Graphics – Chaos and Structure

Mesmerizing video showcasing a series of images titled Chaos and Structure by Complexity Graphics.

NYC – Mindrelic Timelapse

Every day I walk through the city and I see it in such short segments. Which is why this video by Mindrelic is so amazing.

Shanghai 5 – Documentary by Charles Lanceplaine

Shanghai 5 is a documentary by Charles Lanceplaine about the scene, people, skate culture, and chinese perception of skaters in Shanghai. It has a good amount of interviews that showed some insight into the difference in perception here vs. there – even how the one child policy influences parents view of skating. Education and professional success are higher priorities, and most parents disapprove and see skating as unproductive, even if it is just a hobby. On the bright side, the spots there look amazing.

The Paths of Hate

Paths of Hate is coming out sometime this year and is action animation at its finest. I think there’s even some reference to old Macross-style space battles with the streaming and swirling contrails and tracers.
