You’ve got to have some serious balls to go for these cliff jumps. The video is from sponsor Casio for the G-Shock Mudman, but I don’t think the watch has any real bearing on what they are doing.

Between two trees, seriously fun. Between two buildings, seriously crazy. But it looks like they are having fun jumping up and down on that slackline. Not quite the same as Philip Petit, but still amazing. More info at Sebastian Montaz-Rosset.

A neat little TED talk by Robert Hammond, co-founder of Friends of The High Line on how they got it together to repurpose the rail line into an entirely unique elevated park in NYC. Haven’t seen the new section yet, but looking forward to it.
An incredible video. The first I ever saw of Salba was he and his brother skating the Baldy Pipeline on SK8tv way way back in the day.
If you take Jack Horner’s word for it, a chicken is already classified as an ‘avian dinosaur’ vs. a velociraptor, which is a ‘non-avian dinosaur’. He and others are still working on genetic strategies to express genes that are ancestral traits no longer expressed – hands/claws instead of wings, long tails, etc. I’m for it. Who wouldn’t want a pet Chickenosaurus?

More amazing NYC time lapse from Mindrelic aka Josh Owens. I love how some of the shots track out of buildings and over rooftops.

Hard to believe that “The Pirate” for CN by Meindbender is CG and not some super high framerate claymation.

An interesting video primer for Go Faster, a new book about the early days of graphic design of racecar bodies.
Nice little skate documentary from 1990 about skating in the city – Apple Juice.
