Whoah, new vulcanized Koston 1′s, renamed of course as eS-One. But it’s just not the same, just not the same.

Holy crap. I saw this and I had to post it. The AWS board for Wii is the craziest thing I’ve seen all month. But for the cost of a Wii, this deck, and whatever game it goes with, you might as well just buy a AWS Complete and learn to skate for real.

Sacred Geometry decks by Organika have some slickness to them. And I am always a sucker for CMYK graphics. And if you’re too young to know who Karl Watson is, I suggest you check out his videos and hope some day you’ve got a tenth of his style.

TWS ran their 2nd annual Skate and Create contest. There were 4 entries this year: DVS, Etnies, C1rca and DC. The DVS and Etnies videos (above) blew the others away with great concepts, execution and skating. See all the videos here.

Michael Sieben created this guy doing a little frontside air for the Vans OTW Gallery. OTW = Off The Wall. A number of other notables participated, including one Steve Caballero, who took the votes by a landslide. You can see more of Michael’s work here.

Zoo York is always representing NYC. Their Sky High deck series features photographs by Alessandro “Zuek” Simonetti. I think I can see our house in one of the photos.

I am pretty much down for anything that Habitat does. They are releasing a line of footwear built around their am team. And while it isn’t fully published on the interwebs, you can find the info on message boards and the like. People talk crap because they are now under the Burton umbrella, but it lets them do some good stuff. I like the shoes, nothing crazy – the Quest is similar to a lowtop chukka and the Lark is similar to the Herman 2′s. I am interested in checking out the outsole construction – supposed to be somewhere between a cupsole and vulcanized for lots of feel but no wear-in. I hope they do well.

I am unfortunately, or fortunately(?) not one of those people who can drink beer and skate at the same time. However, for those of you who can, the Brue Killers decks from Creature are for you. They have a little bottle opener routed into the plys just below the front truck. That way you never have to improvise with a skate tool (which no one ever seems to have). Plus they are available in a couple of fun shapes.

A nice board series out of NYC local Acapulco Gold. The Financial Times boards feature three fairly influential dudes – Ben, GW and Lincoln. Great fine detail from the original bill engravings. Or why not buy up an uncut sheet of $2 bills.
