I like these Sect Eye boards from Toy Machine. Or maybe I’ve just been brainwashed.

A nice board series from Zoo York featuring photographs of the icons of the city by Sean Cronan. In 100 years, I wonder what icons would be on a set of boards like this?
This video goes way way back to the early 90′s maybe? I remember watching this as a kid and thinking, I could probably make this stuff in the garage. So, years and years later, turns out we finally figured out how to screenprint. Technology hasn’t changed much and they still make things the same old way. SK8tv was a cool show and I wish it were still around.

A cool Watercolor Series by Chocolate. I recognize that Evan Hecox handwriting anywhere.
Below is a pretty cool video from Burn, an energy drink maker. It’s a lot cooler than the Gatorade commercials with Chad Ortiz, but not as snarky as the Nike P-Rod commercials. Props to Burn for making a fun video that isn’t about drinking their product.

It’s about that time for new fall sneaker releases. The Duran from eS caught my eye. It’s got a modern oxford/boat kinda style to it. I like the hidden stitching for the toe cap.

An amazing photo by Rocky Norton of Monico Candelaria over at the Fresh Crops section of The Skateboard Mag. Sometimes the simplest tricks make for the best images.

Supra put out a preview of the new TK shoe, The Stacks. I like the mix up of the leather toe and the suede heel panels. And the black and baby blue is slick. This is definitely a better direction than the TK Society, which is way too Marty McFly-ish.

Talk about going in the way way back machine. The Airwalk 540′s were around when I first started skating, back when vert wasn’t dead. The high top, super rubber ollie pads, toe caps, and fold-over lace protectors were all meant to make your shoes indestructible from knee slides and other vert ramp related stuff. And they were. It’s cool to see them making a comeback. Though they are now more fashion than function, and probably better for it.
