Emerica does it again with the Laced. The super simple design and either flashy or subdued upper materials satisfy both the maximalist and the minimalist. The tongue is held to the midsole with elastic stays so there is no need to lace the shoes at all.

Check out this pair of digital/marpat inspired camouflage Nike Zoom Moire+ ST. I like how the pattern is angled to match the slope of the midsole. I just tossed my taxi yellow Sertig’s so I might have to find a pair of these for when the weather starts getting colder. And Snake would like to have a pair too.

The Soaker Mid by Nike, is another great little mash-up of a shoe. It combines the water draining sole of a river shoe with the upper of a half-court shoe half-boot. The mid looks like you can only wear it if you are out splashing around and having fun, nothing else would be allowed.

Now that it’s warm outside, companies release their Summer/Fall lines and Lakai released their new collection and one of the fun ones is the Belmont: Royal Family Edition. How can you go wrong with houndstooth?

The Ashford by éS is a great chiller. Though hard to find, it’s got a slim profile and the stamped éS logo on the perforated leather on the upper is a great little touch.

The Emerica Ridgemont is a nice little slip-on that’s been around for a few seasons. They usually do a few simple colorways and one or two freaky ones. I posted the FOS colorway before. These New Ridgemonts glow in the dark.

The Nike Considered Humara is the second iteration and relates directly back to the original Terra Humara upper by redrawing it in contrast stitching on the mesh upper of the Considered version. The diamond sole is pretty slick too.

The Reebok Zanchi Travel Yoga/Pilates Shoes are pretty cool. Super flexible soles and slim uppers maximize feel and mobility while maintaining traction. The laceless closure system is a nice detail that helps slim the shoe’s silhouette.

Dunkesto = Dunk + Presto. The old Presto is one of my favorite shoes ever. Supremely comfortable and just experimental enough without being too weird, the Presto is the greatest summer sneaker I know. The Dunk is growing on me. Sorta. But put them together and the result is pretty nice. I love the plastic wings and the presto P detail on the tongue. Check them out at the Nike Store.

Cole Haan and Nike Lab have been collaborating for a few years and typically the result is pretty ugly. However, the Tobago Sandal incorporates the super-flexible and ridiculously comfortable sole system from the Nike Free. Nice mixup.
