Kayiwa – Aakkoset shelf

I like this Aakkoset alphabet shelf by Kayiwa for a kid’s room. It can also be used as a room divider and comes in a bunch of different colors – black, blue, green, orange, red, violet, white and yellow.

Knife & Saw – Bike Shelf

This is probably the prettiest bike storage I’ve ever seen – Knife & Saw’s Bike Shelf.

While visiting many friends small apartments here in SF and more so in NY, I noticed that there is a void when it comes to elegant bike management. Bikes always get in the way – either in the hall, leaning up against a wall, in the kitchen and so on. So, I decided to design something to fix that problem.

Jasper Morrison – Crate Series No. 8

Love this Crate Series chair by Jasper Morrison – even the chair looks relaxed.

Kenneth Cobonpue – Hagia furniture

I’m not particularly one for patio furniture, but there’s something really beautiful about Kenneth Cobonpue’s Hagia series. Each piece is hand-woven on a steel frame, and I love the patterns that the weavings make. Lovely!

Gesa Hansen – Remix Desk

I love the simple way that Gesa Hansen updated the classic Davenport desk with her Remix Desk. Simple lines, functionality, and color – all I really need!

MKGK – Zuiderzee Stool

The Zuiderzee Stool by Studio Maarten Kolk & Guus Kusters is fun in the way that you can stack one on top of the other. The stool is made from solid ash, and is available in yellow, dark green and natural ash.

TOKENnyc – Catenary Bar Stool

TOKENnyc’s Catenary Bar Stool is both gorgeous and well crafted. The backrest almost looks like a piece of charred wood, but is actually a piece of leather. Lots of great details in the construction of this piece!

Process – Cheeky Boxes

Awesome modular storage units, aka Cheeky Boxes, by Lucie Koldová of Process. You can stack them any which way to create your own patterns and set up.

Kawamura-Ganjavian – Caterpillar Trestles

Nice furniture by Kawamura-Ganjavian – Caterpillar Trestles. Inspired by insects, the design features multiple wooden legs. You can slip any flat surface on top of the trestles to create a table, or when they are not in use, they can be used as stools.

Studio Dunn

Happy (almost) 4th of July! We’re taking Monday off to observe the holiday, but we’ll be back on the 6th! In the meantime, we leave you with these beautiful pieces by Studio Dunn. I love the shape and simplicity of their work – the Coventry Stool in particular.

The Cumberland Lamps are also a nice abstraction of the classic lamp form.
