I’ll take the Sincol x MT wall tapes over pre-cut wall decals. They are far more flexible and fun – you can play with diy graphics, shapes, patterns – start layering and take advantage of its translucency. They come in various widths, colors, and patterns. Plus, how cool is it that all MT tapes are rice paper based?

One of the coolest keychains I have seen in a while – The Pinned Key Chain by Nixon is an oversized safety pin inspired keychain that doubles as a bottle opener. I like the little icons on the face.

This is a fun and unexpected way to display your jewelry – the Shadow, by Milk Design. I think it would be fun to have a bunch of different silhouetted figures on a wall to hold your jewelry…
A pretty cool idea to track data for everyone/anyone – The Nike+ Fuelband – All your daily activity counts towards an activity index that you can track online.

2nd Shift is a furniture and product design studio in Cleveland, OH. Their furniture has a clean aesthetic, and strives for functionality. The bench above was constructed without hardware, and can be stacked to go from a bench to shelving system.
The Key Plate (below) is a simple solution for misplaced keys. The Key Plate makes use of a door strike by extending it into a notched piece of stainless steel on which you can hang your keys.

Cool geometric yet psychadelic dot pattern on the Haven, a camera bag/insert, from Crumpler.

Hello, friends! Another year, come and gone! We’ve got family arriving today, so we’ll be signing off early this week, and are taking next week off for the holiday. We’ll be back in this space on Monday, January 2nd, 2012(!). Thanks so much for reading this year, and for keeping us posted on your awesome projects. Have a wonderful and safe holiday week!
PS. The awesome ornament above is one half of The Earth & The Heaven 1551 globes. I bought it off of Fab.com and love it!

I love this – Ben Broyde’s Orlogin is one half transformer and one half crazy Lego tower. He starts with several painted wood base shapes, and then begins to chop up and carve into the base shapes, revealing the wood beneath and constructing the clock.
Via Designboom. I can’t seem to find a link to the designer’s website – if you find one, please let me know!

The KeepCup is a great way to get rid of your disposable coffee cup. With a customizable lid, cup, plug and band, you can create your own design combination…
I like the simplicity of this industrial-style bottle opener by Adam Hogsett. Each opener is manually machined from cold formed steel and hand stamped with the production number.
