The Cooper Hewitt Shop has a cool bar of soap by Tamanohada. It’s a good luck fish that is meant as a gift or a greeting. I like the translucent color and how the rope comes out of the mouth of the fish.

Pattern & Shape is a collaborative project from The Strange Attractor. Above are the shirts by Steve Rura and Andrio Abero (right). The shirts are super clean and I hope they make more.

The Standard partnered with KAWS to release a limited edition set of three lightbulbs, featuring KAWS’ signature XX mark as the bulb’s filament in red, purple and green. 1,000 sets were released yesterday, and rumor has it that they are sold out already, although they still seem to be available on The Standard’s website.
Jean brought over a set to our place yesterday, so I got to play with them, and they are very cool – check out her photos of the unboxing on Notcot.

The Beautiful Planets by Béatrix Li-Chin Loos – a series of sculptural vases that are modeled after planets. The sculptures are made from several materials – wood, cardboard, leather and glass, often contrasting rugged and finished surfaces.

I love the idea behind Nathalie Staempfli’s Soap Flakes dispenser – I usually don’t buy bar soap because it gets all nasty and scummy after a few uses. Soap Flakes eliminates this problem by keeping the bar of soap out of water and dispensing/grating flakes as you need them. Innovative!

How cool is this 1/100 Architectural Paper Model Set No.1 by Terada Design? The set is made out of paper, and comes with an assortment of people, dogs, cats, birds, flowers, chairs, sofas, tables, lamps, bikes, grass and more! I wish I’d had this in college…The set is on sale here.

More fit for a trip to the Enterprise than riding around in the company of your pocket lint, the Lamy Pico now comes in a stylish all-white version.
