New print release: This week we are working with artist Mary Iverson to bring you her print Palouse Falls with Containters 2 to benefit American Forests. I love the combination of a gorgeous almost photo realistic landscape combined with the unnaturally straight lines and colored containers, cascading down the waterfall. Although obviously out of place, the containers still seem to fit the environment perfectly, a quality Mary clearly envisioned early in her creative process:
This piece was painted after a trip to Palouse Falls State Park in Washington State. The landscape there seems so desolate, and then there is this majestic waterfall in contrast. The topography suggests a post-apocalyptic narrative, so I thought it would be perfect for a shipwreck.
Mary chose to pair with American Forests because their mission of preserving forests and ecosystems resonates with the message behind her own work.
This is a digital print on acid free, Neenah uncoated matte 100lb cover paper that is 80% recycled. It was digitally signed by the artist and was numbered by The Working Proof. Learn more here. Read our interview with Robert Hardgrave here, and buy the print here.

I love this. It’s one of those pieces that forces you to keep staring at it to get every detail, and even then years until you really get it.
