New print release: this week The Working Proof is teaming up with artist Andrea Wan to bring you the print Zebra Bandits to benefit Doctors Without Borders. I’m a sucker for whimsical art with a story, so Andrea’s work is the perfect fit:
Zebra Bandits was originally illustrated to accompany a short children’s story published in Nido, a German parenting magazine. The story is about a small lurch who saved the smell of the circus from a group of Zebra bandits.
I especially love the imagery of the zebra bandits stacked on top of each other with the grey misty “smell” wrapping around them. It reminds me of the barrel of monkeys game I used to play with as a child, but with much more character and humor.
Andrea has chosen to pair with Doctors Without Borders because of her belief that their work is brave and unconditional.
This print is available in multiple sizes. It was digitally signed by the artist. The 8×10, 14×11, prints are numbered by The Working Proof, and the 20×16, 30×24 and 30×40 prints come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Learn more here.
