Clae – The Bruce

The Bruce from Clae is a slip-on with smart leather detailing and homely tweed and wool.

Arco da Velha

Arco da Velha’s furniture designs are streamlined and colorful, with little surprise details. I especially like the mixture of the particle board (which I normally hate as a material) and the black drawer faces below.

Blu Dot – One Night Stand Sleeper Sofa

We’re on the hunt for a sleeper sofa, and are considering buying Blu Dot’s One Night Stand Sleeper Sofa. Does anyone out there have experience with this one? Is it comfortable (both as a sofa and as a bed?)? We’d love to get your input! Thanks so much!

DWR – Child-size Classics

Just when you thought your kid wasn’t pretentious enough, DWR releases child-size classic chairs. Now you can have a Mies, Bertoia, or Saarinen chair for your little one to 1. draw on, 2. chew on, or 3. poop on.

The Working Proof: Ana Montiel – En Las Nubes

New print release! We moved recently to a new apartment. As anyone who has moved before knows, the whole process is so distracting – first we had to find the place, then we packed up our old apartment, then the move, and now figuring out how to decorate it. Ana Montiel’s print En Las Nubes (In the Clouds) perfectly sums up how I feel these days – head in the clouds, a million different voices and things vying for my attention, and yet there is a peace and contentment that can be found in the midst of the chaos.

The people featured in En Las Nubes (In the Clouds) are dreamers. I wanted to illustrate the “having your head in the clouds” feeling, but in a funny way.

15% of each print sold is donated to Doctors Without Borders. Read our interview with Ana here, and buy the print here.

Baccarat – Jaime Hayon

When I think about Baccarat, an image of cheesy crystal animals comes to mind. But the company is definitely branching out into more interesting pieces like the Jaime Hayon collection of crystal containers.

Gözde Eker

Gözde Eker is a prop stylist in NYC who makes super fun papier-mâché objects. These would be so much more fun at a party than your traditional piñata. They would also be awesome in V’s bedroom!

Incase Flex Wristband

I’ve seen a few different watchbands for the iPod nano, the Incase Flex Wristband is in the same vein. I’d like to test one out, seems like it’d be smart for the fall because you could wire up the headphones through your jacket sleeve. But how does it work if the cord length isn’t long enough?

Luis Gispert – Decepcion

Great images of luxury in Luis Gispert’s project Decepcion.

Atypyk – Clown Nose Mug

I know that this Clown Nose mug by Atypyk is really just supposed to be funny, but I like it as a way to bring a subtle pop of color to a mug. It would be fun to see these in a bunch of different colors.
