How fun are these beach umbrellas by Basil Bangs? Gorgeous detailing and colors. The Le Pixel (was that redundant?) is my favorite, but some of the other designs are awesome, too. You’d definitely be easy to spot on a crowded beach with one of these.

Native makes the perfect summertime slip-on. They’re sort of like Crocs, but for grown-ups. They come in regular non-neon colors too. Above is the Vans/Keds-inspired Miller.

Love the gorgeous and minimal Mantis lamp by Boettcher + Henssler, especially the colored cord and stand paired with the wood elements.

Another cool Redbull animation about the new F1 technologies that make racing a little bit more like a video game.

Kate Shaw describes her work as vacillating between the real and the hallucinated, and this new print for The Working Proof is most definitely that. All that Glitters was inspired by the landscape in the Northern Territory of Australia, which ranges from tropical to rocky desert. One of the features of this landscape is the Ghost Gum, a type of eucalyptus tree, which has a white bark that changes color depending on the light conditions. At dusk the tree trunks range from a bright orange to a pale peach, depending on the intensity of the sun. All that Glitters depicts a Ghost Gum and considers the ephemeral nature of things.
15% of each print sold will be donated to American Forests for their work in conserving and replanting forests. Buy the print here, and read our interview with Kate here.

When I was a kid I was fascinated with fighter planes, especially the A-10 Thunderbolt. We would go to the big air shows every year and watch the demonstrations and check out the cockpits. Every once in a while we would see them flying around the neighborhood from our local AFB. It’s so unconventionally designed – pretty much a plane built around a giant gun. No swept wings give it insane lift for huge payloads, the elevated engines are more protected from AAA, and the titanium bathtub makes sure the pilot doesn’t have to worry about getting shot in the butt. The Warthog is still active but being phased out by other more advanced systems, but I still love looking at the thing.
