These paper earrings by Essimar are gorgeous! Each is hand cut from multi-colored paper and then layered together. Love the patterns and the colors…

The Qlasp Earbuds by Sony would fit right in with your hoverboard and flying DeLorean.

These ALEX Bottles solve almost every problem with water bottles today. They are seriously ingenious – easy to clean, able to change sizes, and a they have a proportion that sneaks into bags. I’d love to see the build quality, since they are pretty expensive – $25-$30 each.

Looks like David Trubridge adapted the design of his Coral lights – rather than having a wooden interior, the inside face of the bamboo pieces have been painted, allowing for a subtle pop of color. It doesn’t look like they are up on his website yet, so if you’re interested, you can get them here.

New print, Two Beasts, over at The Working Proof today! Rose de Borman created this linocut around two animals. Rose explores tensions – her beasts aren’t like any animal in particular, and it’s hard to tell if they are friendly or suspicious of one another. She likes animals that are graceful, but teetering towards awkwardness – the fine line between elegant poise and the clumsy stumble. 15% of Rose’s print sales will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières.

Such a lovely pencil sharpener by Taiwanese designer Sheng-Hui Hsu (no website that I could find, though let me know if you come across one!) – shaped as a small stone that can also double as a paperweight! The sharpeners are made of an epoxy putty and then painted black.

A few very cool pieces at Ian McQue’s site showcasing some free-time concept work. Let’s all hope that Rockstar develops some of Ian’s imaginings into games for us to play.

This was too funny not to post. Funny that they’re Australian. In NYC the accents would be bonus points.
What is this ‘quiff’ he’s referring to?

I was watching this Nat Geo video of a guy trying to wrangle a Humbolt squid and was curious what kinds of lures it takes to get a squid on a boat. The Yo-Zuri Super Lens squid jig isn’t quite bit enough for a Humbolt, but it could get you a smaller variety of squid. Yo-Zuri has some incredible looking lures on their site – incredible textures, colors, multi-layer internals, rattlers, and all sorts of interesting other things.
