Jason Dean sent over images of his new poster, The ABC’s of Branding.

Using no ink whatsoever, these 18″x24″ posters are foil stamped and embossed to create an alphabet composed of letters from many of the more famous (and some infamous) logos of all time. Printed in two different colorways, you have the choice of silver foil on black paper or gold foil on cream, both stocks are 100 lb. French Pop-Tone and are individually stamped, signed and numbered. Numbers are limited to 500 prints of each color.

Some great photographs by Brian Ulrich of abandoned or semi-abandoned engine of suburban sprawl – the mall. Titled The Ghosts of Shopping Past, the photographs explore various stages of vacancy and decay in malls and stores. Competition breeds extinction and I always wondered what happened to the old mall that I used to go to as a kid when the bigger, better one opened a few towns away. I guess these photographs show the result.

The Sports/City Hall in Bale, Croatia by 3LHD has an amazing interplay of surface vs. volume in the stone facade, giving the project both a heavy and light appearance. By day, the shadow cast at the upturned corner conceals the thiness of the stone, while at night, the interior lights extend through the facade to the thin edge of the stone surface.
