The husband and wife team of Shikisai make the most amazing t-shirts ever. I had such a hard time picking just a few to show you…Shikisai’s shirts are clever and interactive and always have a surprising 3D detail. I love the shirt depicting a game of Go, complete with black and white pins. They also have a line of shirts for toddlers, with corresponding adult tees (sort of like our Pair tees!).

Lovely work by Yasmine of A Print a Day. I’m always amazed by the impact colors have on a drawing.

Jessica emailed me today announcing the one year anniversary of her Shiny Squirrel shop…she’s offering a free gift today to all Sub-Studio readers who make a purchase of $20 or more. Just put “Sub-Studio” in the comments box when you check out to get the free soft toy, e-zine or print.
The Shiny Squirrel carries lots of great work, including Samantha Hahn’s gorgeous new posters (above), and some of our prints!

Matt Taylor recently won the Creativity Magazine and Penguin Books contest for the cover design for The Island at the End of the World. A little trip to Matt’s blog showed the illustration process (1,2) for the cover. I very much enjoy the peek into an artist’s process to see how his or her vision takes shape.
